Iosco Sportsmen's Club Board of Directors General Membership Meeting 
Wednesday, March 6, 2002

President Wright called the Director's Meeting to order at 7:09p.m.
Roll call was answered by President Dave Wright, Vice President Harold Frase, Treasurer Tom Marsh, Secretary John Hanley, Range Officer Lynn Pillsbury, Director Ron Carafelly, Director Clay Jolley, Director Dave Anderson, Director Randy McKinney, Director Larry Kindell, Director Don Moehler, and Director Ken Douglas.
Motion made and passed to accept Secretary's minutes.
President Wright introduced 4-H leader Laura Leppa who thanked the group for past support. She advised there will be a two-day session in April to train new leaders and asked for volunteers to work with the 4-H.
President Wright introduced Dale Schontz, area manager from MCRGO who gave background on issues for what the group stands for. He addressed member's questions and explained benefits of membership and asked the club to consider affiliation. The cost for club affiliation is $1.00 per year per member. Individual club members cost is $15 per year. He stated the MCRGO annual meeting is being held in Lansing the first part of June and all members are welcome.

Motion made and passed to accept financial report.
Range Officer Pillsbury presented the shoot report for February of $738. Motion made and passed to accept shoot report.
OLD BUSINESS President Wright explained he has purchased a box of the biodegradable clay targets and when the weather breaks the experiment will be conducted to determine if they are worth purchasing.
Range Officer gave update on the East Tawas Chamber of Commerce Gun Show. The event will take place May 11th and 12th. In the new community building from 9-5. Cost is $40 to rent a table $3 admission. The club will loan tables and the chamber is looking for volunteers for security and for taking money at the door. The club will advertise the event on the club roadside sign.
Director Anderson brought the group up to date on the club swap to take place March 23rd. From 9-5. Tables will rent for $10 each and $1 admission. Flyers are made up and ads will go in the papers March 7th.
President Wright asked if anyone was interested in volunteering to run the 4-H 22 league.
Director Douglas explained he has the form from the State of Michigan to apply for a raffle permit. Director Carafelly and Treasurer Marsh will help Director Douglas set up the raffle details.
President Wright gave the group an up date on the WAFB range.
NEW BUSINESS Range Officer Pillsbury asked for a motion to let the DNR use the clubhouse on April 6th. From 6-10pm. They will be conducting a survey of property owners on the no spike rule. Motion made and passed. Director Carafelly and Secretary Hanley will be on hand to serve coffee and dessert.
Treasurer Marsh asked for a motion to authorize spending of up to $4,000 for a new riding lawn mower for the club. Motion made and passed.
Director Jolley made a motion that the club become affiliated with MCRGO. Motion passed.
Director Moehler asked for a motion for up to $100 to be spent on shelving for a bookcase in the club. Motion made and passed.

General Membership Meeting adjourned at 8:07pm
