Harvesting wood from range property: Rich Dixon gave report. The “chippers” will pay $3.00/ton for wood chips. We can get $25.00/cord for logs. These quotes were from Levi Yates (a wood chipper) Rich and his brothers would cut logs and firewood. They would need to be able to leave the firewood till it sold. They would be willing to pay $35.00/cord. They have no equipment for pulling stumps. Nothing can be done till after the Survey is done. It was suggested to let Rich cut the logs and set someone else come in and chip the tops. Rich doesn’t think that will happen. Discussion tabled till after the Survey is completed
