a. Old refrigerator – broken need to see about replacing. Rich Dixon will research this topic.
b. Coast Guard shot at our range and qualified some new shooters. They also provided us some new backers for our ranges.
c. Barbara Ann requested a speaker phone. Brad has provided one.
d. Unattended guns – issue is being watched for any problems. Have to ensure that any gun left unattended is not loaded.
e. Dirt was delivered to Wurtsmith for 300 yard range for the berms (shooting points).
f. Gas tank – has not been installed yet, working issue (Tom Marsh).
g. Dan Welton has been reimbursed, issued closed.
h. Check the price of crushed concrete for the 25 yard pistol yard, from shooting bench to berm - will pack down like a driveway. Given a $2,500 price tag, need 100 yards ($17 per yard). Do not need to do the entire range, need for footing and making it easier to find brass. Keith Wojhan made motion to spend $1,600 - second by Tom Dombroski, motion approved.
i. Issue of bringing back CCW – still working the issue with Randy McKinney (Greg Gueldenzopf)

7. New Business:
a. Christmas party – 3 Dec 08 – Still need a person to take charge of this event. Also – trying to have a trash or treasure gift exchange, nothing expensive, limited to $5.00 gift.
b. Presentation by Robert White – may be hired to write a grant presentation. Find a funder for what we are trying to get done at the club. Know what the cost of what we want done (bldg – need to have current cost, construction costs, etc.). Most require a match of funds (in kind) by the funder and club. Right now is a hard time because of the economy. Don’t know how your proposal will stack up against others that have been submitted – not a guaranteed program. Looking for monies for the Wurtsmith range - skeet trap, potable water storage (hauled in system), 600 yard range, and indoor range. Use an hourly flat rate fee for completing the submission of grant proposals - $40.00 per hour. Looking at researching for grants to assist the club with finding money to be able to complete special projects.
c. Club newsletter for Dec – need articles, items for sale, will include scores and other info for shooting disciplines, etc. Deadline for inputs is 5 Dec 08. Shoot calendar will come up in Dec with updates – still have to check calendar against the other clubs for shooting dates.
d. Mail bag. Received a thank you letter from the Air Museum at Wurtsmith from the Yankee Air Museum.
e. Membership and dues notices. James R. Hartman Jr and Donnette Lind were submitted for membership – motion to accept new members – Greg Gueldenzopf, second by Joe Bryant, motion accepted. Reminder letter sent to members we do not know the status of (76 individuals) is being sent out to members to determine that status (members or non-members).
f. Open discussion:
Art Troy – 5 stand shrink wrapped by Jason Walters, will pay him out of Sight in Days proceeds.
Directional signs for Wurtsmith range – cost is $150 per sign, do not want to do at this time.
Rich Dixon – have a question on some kind of deal to approve money, we were going to develop a new form. We have a new form on the website that can be downloaded for members to submit for reimbursement.
Keith Moir – when submitting a request for reimbursement – put the form on top when submitting for payment so can be recognized when submitted and paid in a timelier manner.
Keith Wojhan – snow plowing – continue to plow the driveway for the club. The cost will be $100 per time.
Greg Gueldenzopf - Sight in Days – how is the advertising coming along, are we asking people where they are hearing about us. Need to start asking where people have been finding out about us from now on.
Tom Dombroski – info on water system for Wurtsmith. The water system we want is called a hog water system and depends on the number of chairs (seating chairs not toilets) that we will need. Bldg that tank goes in – we cannot build it, has to be an engineered bldg and commercially installed. We cannot build this bldg that this tank will be in – has to be above ground – due to possibility of contaminates from the ground. Discussion followed on what direction to take this project. Have Art Troy, Tom Dombroski, and Eugene Kindell researching more info on this project.

k. Motion to adjourn meeting by Keith Moir, second by Art Troy. Adjournment at 9:13 pm.

Respectfully submitted by Barbara Ann Thomas, temporary secretary.
